Born in 1977 in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China, he now lives and works in Shanghai.  He graduated from the Computer Graphics Design Department of Nanjing Art Institute in 2000.  Later, he went to Holland to study at the Institute of Product and Interior Design of Eindhoven Design Institute.  In 2006, he received a Master of Arts degree from the Department of Interactive Media and Environment of Frank Mohr College in the Netherlands, and has participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad.  Recent solo exhibitions include ” Urban Genes/Jiangnan” (DeYutang Gallery, Shanghai, 2016);  ” constellation” (ART LABOR gallery, Shanghai, 2015), etc.  Lu Xinjian’s works are collected by several important public art institutions, including White Rabbit Art Museum, Sydney and Australia.  DSL Collection of Chinese Contemporary Art, Paris, France;  Anson Trust, Shanghai, China, etc.
