Born in Shanghai in 1948, he was born in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province. He studied painting at the Children’s Palace in Yangpu District, Shanghai. He is good at Chinese painting and printmaking. He is now a full-time painter at the Shenzhen Painting Academy and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. Liang Shuming is able to isolate formal elements from specific life and historical memory, and can find interesting elements and other distinctive units on all levels of artistic practice. Mr. Liang has always adhered to a simple, simple and inner artistic attitude. He has been engaged in abstract art creation for decades. In the transformation of Chinese and Western abstract art concepts, he put a Zen concept like “empty” into an abstract ink experiment. Such a position or starting point enriches the world of abstract art in a Chinese way.
