After 32,850 moments, the annual “Pure View®” arrived as scheduled under the August sun. Volunteers from all over the world traveled thousands of kilometers across seas and lands to finally meet on the Indonesian island of Bali.
Volunteers, both young and old, gathered at Ngurah Rai Airport.
Bali is a unique island within the Indonesian archipelago, renowned worldwide for its rich traditional culture, distinctive architectural style, and geographical location.
Located in eastern Indonesia, between the Indian Ocean and the Java Sea, Bali has Australia visible to the south across the Lombok Strait and Java Island to the north across the Java Sea. The island’s terrain is mountainous, dominated by a central volcanic range, with Mount Agung being the highest active volcano and the highest point on the island.
Baru is a village in the Marga District of Tabanan Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. The village was expanded in 2014 according to Tabanan Regional Regulation No. 1/2014, and it consists of four banjars (traditional Balinese communities): Banjar Pinge, Banjar Baru, Banjar Raden, and Banjar Susut.
Baru Elementary School II and Marga State Junior High School are the schools in the village, with 49 students at Baru Elementary and 121 students at Marga Junior High. Despite limited resources, these schools strive to provide skill training and cultural education that will benefit the children’s futures.
After a four-hour drive, we finally reached our destination, the village of Baru.
Arriving safely at our accommodation.

The first task upon arrival: completing preparations such as distributing supplies.
To the sound of geckos singing, we drifted off to sleep, anticipating the unknown of tomorrow.
On August 1st, with excitement and curiosity, we crossed rivers and rainforests to meet the children at SMPN3.
On the forest paths, there were many stone statues covered in moss and green leaves, appearing almost alive, guarding the creatures here.
