Kaixian, Chongqing. Born in Hubei (1942-). He graduated from Hubei Art College in 1965 and graduated with a master’s degree in oil painting in 1981. He used to be the professor and vice president of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, director of China Artists Association, director of Fine Arts Institute of South China Normal University, and deputy director of Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association. He is currently a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University, vice chairman of the Chinese Oil Painting Society, and a researcher at the Oil Painting Institute of the National Painting Institute of China.
