He graduated from VASSAR College in new york in 1984.

He graduated from BARD College in new york in 1998 with a master’s degree.

Before taking charge of Sihe Garden, Zhao Gang’s main identity was an artist, but his lifestyle ran counter to the “Vie D’Artiste, La way”.  He never pays attention to painting, and thinks that it is the most boring thing to concentrate on art.  Art is just a maladjustment in normal life. He doesn’t think art is something that needs to be taken seriously. It is only paranoid to some extent.  This idea is also reflected in his creation. His works often reveal cynicism, which is conveying a criticism of art.
