Fu Zhongwang was born in 1956 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He was a former curator of Hubei Art Museum. He has been engaged in sculpture and public art creation for a long time. He has participated in many important contemporary art exhibitions at home and abroad. His works have been collected by many art galleries and art institutions and included in various versions of contemporary art history publications.  His series of works ” mortise and tenon structure” transplanted the mortise and tenon structure from traditional architecture into sculpture creation, making it elucidate new cultural significance in the context of contemporary art. The series of works ” mortise and tenon structure” established Fu Zhongwang’s position in the history of contemporary sculpture.
